Final year student Daniel Cowen says his research into using eye movements to operate a mouse has ‘exciting implications for the control of computer software by people with a disability as well as providing a viable future alternative to the hand controlled mouse’.
The Endeavour Engineering Exhibition will showcase more than 50 projects from electrical, electronic and software engineering students from the University of Melbourne .
One of the Exhibition coordinators Luke Graham says some projects have the potential to make a big impact on various markets.
"There are some really exciting projects that have real practical applications for the way we do things," he says.
"Other projects have examined theoretical problems in society and have the potential to make a big difference.’
