VCE Chemistry students from all over Victoria will get hands-on practice with state of the art, multimillion dollar equipment measuring food nutritional content such as caffeine in cola drinks, salt in soy sauce and sugar in energy drinks during a new University of Melbourne program.

Forty-six of Victoria’s highest achieving VCE students have been offered National Scholarships to study at the University of Melbourne in 2012, following the release of results this morning.

Fewer girls enrol in challenging VCE mathematics subjects, and girls still have lower expectations of their mathematics abilities than boys, a recent study from the University of Melbourne’s Graduate School of Education has found.

TWENTY of Victoria’s highest achieving VCE students have accepted National Scholarships to study at the University of Melbourne in 2011.

A total of 26 outstanding VCE students, all with ENTER scores of 99.9 and above have accepted Melbourne National Scholarships to study at the University of Melbourne in 2010.
