A long-term study into the health and wellbeing of community members affected by the 2009 Victorian bushfires, is being led by the University of Melbourne.

Dwindling resources and radical environmental change is putting access to essential services like food and water at risk, according to the Victorian Eco-Innovation Lab (VEIL).

Almost half of the people from non-English speaking backgrounds have experienced discrimination, resulting in poorer health outcomes, research from the University of Melbourne and the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission has found.
