The University of Melbourne has announced its founding partnership of the Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community of Australia (Climate-KIC Australia), a public-private innovation partnership designed to facilitate economic solutions for climate mitigation and adaptation.

There is evidence that human-induced climate change has played a significant role in Europe’s hottest year on record. 

The world’s major complex challenges such as climate change and natural disasters will be the focus of a new, collaborative centre co-funded by the European Commission and based at the University of Melbourne.

European residents have a general 'lack of confidence' in the EU to provide solutions, said Prof Philomena Murray on SBS News this week.
