Leading Australian researchers have welcomed an announcement today by the Australian Government of $42M in funding for the development of a bionic eye capable of restoring vision to the blind.
The rate of blindness in Indigenous adults is more than six times higher than non-Indigenous Australians, national survey results announced today by the Governor General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC, revealed.
